Sketch Tucker and Heather Britannia from The Utopian Legend.
Edit: Played with the muzzles and eyes as per Malamite's suggestions and whaddaya know! It DOES look a bit better now! Okay, so! Some of you folks might be watching a certain ~MalamiteLtd here on deviantArt. Some of you may remember a certain picture from 2007. Some of you might also know that -I- am a sprite artist who prefers his sprites all Rockman 7-ish. Well...I don't think I need to really go on. Some people might call it "unoriginal". A "cop-out". "Weak". I call it a birthday gift for my favorite artist and someone I consider a friend. I will admit, I had a bit of trouble with this image... I tend to...ya know...only do sprites a certain way. And Heather doesn't look very feminine. (I tried adding two pixels for eyelashes, but it just doesn't show up very well...) Still, what I ended up with isn't TOO terribly bad. With any luck, SOMEONE'LL like it. Happy birthday, MalamiteLtd! And may you have many, many more. Sketch Tucker and Heather Britannia © MalamiteLtd. Rockman 7 © Capcom Co., LTD. I'm reminded of the time I attempted to design an 8-Bit Jamal sprite.

I almost forgot it was on the second and was ready to submit that on the third.
It's a cute gift! I'm not very confident in full spriting ability, so it's likely going to be a long time before I do 16-bit sprites. I still hadn't finished the full set for Sketch Tucker. X3
Anyway, I suppose if I were to make any criticisms, it would be the mouths. They look odd with the Sonic-esque smiles, And...maybe separate the eyes one pixel, but that's about it. The rest is quite nice. I like the slight details noting folds in Sketch's shirt. :3
Thank you very much for the gift! I appreciate the kind sentiments.
And you're very welcome!

That's the tricky thing I've found about sprite art; one pixel can make or break the whole picture.

I must be either blind or a dumbass or something, 'cause I'm not really seeing a difference between the first and second version of this.

And you don't be concerned
With the things they said I did
I ain't got no regrets
No one to forgive
I ain't talking gangsters
And that East Coast West Coast shit
No one calls me a homeboy
I'm the Clerkenwell Kid
This is actually v4, though only the second one I posted. I messed with the muzzles and the eyes a little. Trust me when I say it looks better. Alternately, you may just need to hard-refresh (Ctrl-Refresh/Ctrl-F5) to see it. Sometimes the local cache can act funny.
